Dove Press was established by the Rev. George McCurdy to make available comprehensive doctrinal study guides based on the teachings of the New Church for each of the Minor Prophets.

• Currently, Study Guides can be downloaded at no charge from this site for Amos, Haggai, Joel, Jonah, Malachi, Nahum, Obadiah, Habakkuk and Zephaniah.
• In 2007 a Study Guides should be added for Hosea, Micah, Zechariah.

Each study guide contains:

• A preface that outlines the steps that a reader could take to maximize the knowledge that can be gained from the study guide.
• Background information about the Minor Prophet’s book.
• An overview of the literal sense.
• A verse-by-verse exposition that includes the relevant passages from the Writings of Emanuel Swedenborg, derived doctrine based on the teachings of the New Church, and a doctrinal summary of the verse based on the applied and derived doctrine.
• Questions that are designed to stimulate reflection and insight by the reader.
